Why Redeployments Fail
Many corpers apply for redeployment and get rejected. Why? Because their documentation is weak. You cannot just write a letter saying “I have asthma.” You need undeniable proof.
For medical redeployment, you need a comprehensive medical report from a recognizable government or military hospital. The report must clearly state that your condition requires specialized care unavailable in your current state of deployment.
Timing is Everything
The fastest way to get redeployed is to apply while you are still in the orientation camp. Go straight to the camp clinic with your medical report within the first three days.
If you wait until after camp to apply online, the process becomes much slower and requires approval from the state secretariat and the DG in Abuja.
For married women, the process is straightforward as long as you bring your marriage certificate, change of name (newspaper publication), and your husband’s domicile proof (utility bill or ID card). Submit these early in camp, and your relocation is practically guaranteed.
